Weigh in #7

Did I bust the barrier or did I bounce back?

Big ….. Big Day ….. let me emphasize, underline, place in bold font that Today has been a Very Big Day!

I left on time for the class, but still got there late due to horrible traffic!  I was nervous and very agitated.  My BP was up slightly (still in normal range) ….. I am sure …. due in part to a demonic like aggression with my fellow drivers.  Was this a forecast of the doom to come for my weigh in today?  NO!  Just my BP was a tad up.  I was nervous — really nervous today … it was probably my lovely driving attitude.

Note the name on the blog — “Diary of an Angry Fat Woman.”  I looked like my blog on the drive in this morning.  I was talking to Mike — hands free I might add — and finally after the 20th time I gave a driver a dirty look, I asked Mike to pay for me because they way I was feeling couldn’t be good for a body …. I’m just sayin’.  My prayers for the other drivers went something like this, “God help these stupid idiots, before they kill someone.”  I kind of screamed these quasi prayers at random drivers.  I know he heard me, but dang, I think I need to work on my love and forgiveness for other drivers ….. OK ….. OK …. I won’t make you wait any longer.

What is so awesome about today?  Well …. I lost another 4 pounds.  Yep, that makes 32 pounds over all.  I am losing without bouncing back …. and I received another happy today.  What you ask?  Well ….. hehe …. I get to Lose ONE Diabetic medicine all together, and I get to cut one of my BP meds in half.  🙂

Yeah, you could say that I was happy.  I felt like taking off for a RUN!  hehe!  But that would just make me STARVING, so it will have to wait a bit longer.

My Loseit.com report for the last 3 months

I wanted to include the last 3 months so that you could see how I am NOW below the last rebound point and you can imagine how exciting this feels for me!  Finally, I have broken this 30 pound rebound point.   I have lost 40 pounds since I started in 2009 with the Loseit.com program — 10 pounds that I kept off even with the rebound, and 30 pounds with EatRight.  The Loseit.com program marks the point where I started working to lose weight with Donna.   🙂

Below is the breakdown on weight and BMI for the whole EatRight program.

Weight      BMI

Pre weigh        255            41.8

1st weigh   249    I don’t know

2nd weigh       244          40.0

3rd  weigh       239           39.2

4th weigh        234.5        38.4

5th weigh        231.5        37.9

6th weigh        227           37.2

7th weigh        223           36.5

What am I going to do with the rest of my day?  I have no idea — but I sure am excited — so I think that will be enough. Oh, and Margaret — YOU WERE RIGHT!  I have made the 30 pound club!  🙂

Blessings ….. S

Below will be a few photo proofs from when we started the program:

  1. Tell me you don’t feel like a rock star! You eat weird food… fine. But the results?! I’m telling you the lack of culinary inspiration and money is worth every single pound of shed weight. Go you!!! I’m so excited for you! Keep up the good work!

    • Beth — you are so cute — me a rock star? Haha … the results are worth the insanity! Thanks so much — means a lot coming from you. Wondering how you are doing … guess I will just have to go and check. 🙂

      • Who says we can’t be rock stars?! So we don’t have the paycheck that some of the “official” rock stars have… I think our cool factor is much higher. (No, I don’t suffer from too much of a bruised and battered self-esteem!) Let’s see some of those lushes do what we’re doin’… they wouldn’t last a week! 🙂

      • LOVE IT BETH! Yeah … we ARE ROCK STARS! I bow down to your wisdom. Thanks for stopping by with your fun encouraging words. You know … you are SO RIGHT … sometimes I don’t even know how I am doing it. hehe.

    • 🙂 Pray it holds on Man! I am SO happy about the moving past the set point — OH LET me keep on rollin! YEAH! Thanks for stopping by and always cheering me on — means the world! 🙂

    • Haha Tammy! Fabulouso is SO a word to me! 🙂 You are right, lowering the meds is a beautiful thing. Love you bunches and bunches right back! That was such a sweet thing for you to say. I have always loved you like a sister and enjoyed your company and LOVE your Smart Firey Self. We were and are like Two peas in a pod! hehe!

  3. Way to go babe. I thought you were doing well. I am so excited for your success and all the wonderful support you have–from UAB EatRite, to your friends, to your Pilates class and trainer Nazi, and to all the people you have met through this blog. It makes me happy!

  4. Wow! Until I had looked at that photo with Sophia. Honestly I didn’t know how much you have really lost. Your face looks a lot smaller. You are doing great! I love you Mom. I am proud of how you are doing. The great effort you are putting in to this is showing. You go Mom.

    • Thanks girly — I know — I love my Sophie girl and that picture was such a blow at Christmas. 🙂 I need to take a new one with my girl! 🙂 Thanks girly, girl and you know you help me make it through every day! You help me prep Dad’s food, buy groceries, and keep me on track with me “Flavored Water”, and vitamins! Thanks for being on my team! I am blessed. 🙂

  5. OMG HOW FABULOUSLY WELL ARE YOU DOING!!!! Congratulations on your 4lb loss – that’s wonderful – and the photos – you were already gorgeous but you’re getting gorgeouser and gorgeouser (is that a word or have I just made one up? 🙂 lol) Well done – I completely understand the willpower this journey is taking! You’re a star!

And thank you so much for all the help you give me!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 xxx

    • Dizi! You make me SMILE! 🙂 Thanks for being so sweet about the pics. Thanks so much for being such a kind encourager. I know you know what it is like to trudge down this road. I think it is great that we found each other because I know you are a blessing to me! It is so nice to have partners to travel this long hard road with. 🙂

  6. YES! I COULD SEE IT LAST NIGHT WHILE YOU WERE DANCING! I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU HAVE FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR YOU……YES TO UAB, EAT RIGHT PROGRAM!! MORE PEOPLE SHOULD TRY THIS PROGRAM!

    • Donna — I know — I know — you tried to get me to do this from the start. SHHH! I am glad this is working for me too. I am glad Dr. Ard has commited to work with me until I get to where I need to be. I think you are right that More people Should Try UAB EatRight. I think they are grand — and I rarely say that about Doctors.

Mike kept telling me that too, about last night — thanks for letting me know you thought I looked nice. 🙂

  7. Shonnie girl!! You are doing fantastic!!! Keep it up! It’s paying off and you’re looking great. But more importantly, you are feeling better and getting off those nasty meds!! That’s the best!
