Day 3 on Food and OptiFast/Fashion Week

Yesterday was a LONG day at the Hospital with my folks.  My Daddy had to have his check-ups.  It looks like, besides being a little ornery (we have Much in common), he seems to be doing quite well.  Yea!  Daddy!  After a LONG day going from doctor to doctor and test to test, we had to run over and acquire a few OptiFast products — one more hospital stop.   Lindsey so kindly offered to weigh me — YIKES!!  I was NOT up for that one, even though Mike SWEARS that I am below 200 now. I decided to wait until Tuesday!!  I mean really? Weigh after sitting in a hospital with all the foot swelling?!? NOT this girl!

Thursday night we had some VERY Yummy grilled chicken.  Mike cooked them to perfection.  I am very excited to report that they were VERY filling as was the fish from last night.  Thank YOU God!  This Chica was worried for a bit that I was going to be starving.  Instead, I was beyond full the last two nights.

Here are a few pics of my VERY YUMMY FOOD!! hahahhaahha!

I had 3 and 1/2 pieces of YUMMY Chicken and ...

.... and yummy spinach and cucumber salad.

Cajun Catfish -- cauliflower rice and kale. I know that kale isn't on my list of foods, but my Mama is here and she can make it GOOD! YUMMY!

Oh … and here are a few more pics from FASHION WEEK:

Remember this before?

Remember this from the first fashion show?

This is me March 30th

Me in the same Jacket with the pants I wore with the jacket.

As you can see those pants -- well they don't work anymore. When both legs will fit into one leg it is time to retire the outfit. hehe 🙂

Check you all later …S

  2. The picture of you standing in the single leg of your pant is downright hilarious! And your legs are looking so skinny!!! Isn’t it amazing how quickly you get full? You look at the little quantity of food on your plate and think, “I’ll still be hungry, what do I do?” Then you realize that’s not the case. Retrain your brain to think in smaller portions and you’ll sustain the weight loss more easily!

    So excited for you! 🙂

    • thanks Beth! I was very happy about the food after the shrimp deal! Whew! I kind of figured that it wasn’t right (the weighing). Doc said that the refuse –tail and shell–cut me short a few. They were so mushy I couldn’t have eaten them anyway! 🙂

      • Do you have a kitchen scale? I found it to be invaluable. Turns out I was shorting myself with various things as I eyeballed them. I bought one for about $50.00 and like it because the reader disconnects in the event you have a mixing bowl up top. Since I bake I figured I’d go multipurpose. It means you can also put a dinner plate on it and just add your food.

Note to self: Get the kitchen scale back out now that I’m eating food again!

      • Yes, I do have a scale. I was weighing my food when I was having NO luck losing!! It is VERY EXCITING to have food to weigh again! hehe! I KNOW you know what I mean. 🙂 I have one with the zero out thing — where you can put the plate on top. My battery started acting weird today — figure time to change battery — so I was a little concerned about my food portion for today. No worries … I couldn’t eat it all anyway. =P I am with you Beth — the scale is invaluable — you just can’t eyeball things well enough to get it right. Some things just look heavier than others. 🙂 I have my scale on the bookshelf at the end of the counter. Ready to Go!

  3. Hey! I just found your blog by accident but felt like I needed to comment and say a big WELL DONE!! 😀 I love the pants picture hehe xx

  4. You look wonderful. I am so glad you get to eat real food again. I know that had to be a psychological trial.

    • Thanks Loretta! 🙂 I am so glad I get to eat too! hahahahaha! I couldn’t finish my 1/4 cup cauliflower rice — I made myself eat the kale — Mama made that! YUMMY! There were times it was really really hard. Other times it was easy. Like last week. 🙂

  5. I am so proud of you lady. You look so good and that beautiful smile of yours just lights up the room. I am glad to hear that Uncle Butch is doing good. They looked good this week. I know you are so glad that you can finally eat and the food look yummy. Keep up the good work girl!!!!!!!!

    Love You,
    Lena

    • Thanks Lena,

I love you too. It was great getting to see you after WAY TOO LONG! I am so glad that he is doing better too, not ready for him to do anything else, but be well!! It was great to finally eat. I only got about half of the fish down. It was 2 oz’s too big, but it didn’t matter I could barely get the 4 oz’s down. Loving it!
