Yesterday’s yard work uhhh … put a HURT on me! We were so zonked that Mike and I had to stop before we were finished. Both of us groaning and limping like old people …. wait … aren’t we considered old? NOPE … that can’t be right. Lifted weights on Thursday, played with the Bosu Ball on Friday (all day–big mistake), then followed by raking, shoveling, and grading rocks all day Saturday equals one big super OUCHIE to the booty, the back, and the LEGS. All the squatting and stuff really gets to ya. They had the wrong size rocks at the landscaping place, and we didn’t want to drive across town, so we got the next size down … so the the dark stuff you see are the LARGER rocks that I prefer not trash. Oh, well, you can’t win them all.
Collin groaned and complained a LOT. He wanted to pressure wash the deck (Which looks super good only I didn’t beat the rain to get a pic of it.) like our older son Will was doing. It really is handly having a business that specializes in pressure washing. There is a horrible band of weather moving through the Southern US right now, and only the smallest of the storms drove us in before we were completely finished with our work projects. Still, we are pleased with what we did get accomplished, even if we are in pain and suffering from the effort. All we managed today was to throw down the mulch. I could feel the moisture begin to weight the air down. I told Mike we gotta hurry because it was about to hit … and we just barely finished throwing the last pile of mulch as the sprinkles started. Gimping and limping, I popped out between showers to snap a few pics of our handy work. Just had to share with you the fruit of our labors.
Later gators … S
