About

I thought I should post something here because so many have checked out a instructions for how to post page ….

Hello, My name is Shonnie.
I am a 47 year old female who is married to a Fantastic man named Mike (for 23 yrs.),  and the mother of 4 Amazing children, and one FANTASTIC Granddaughter.  I love my life, my family, my friends, and going for long bike rides with my hubby (30+ miles). I laugh at the trials in my life (I have had few), and my counselor maintains this the reason that I am sane — some would argue this is debatable.

I have a counselor because my oldest son was hit by a car (he was on foot –had bad injuries but survived), while saving the life of his younger autistic brother.  This topic is food for another cathartic blog.

I will update this page with my background and the challenges that I have faced along the way later.

For now, Peace and blessings follow you all the days of your life …. S

  1. Nice to meet you, Shonnie! I’m going to follow your blog. Sometimes life just happens and doesn’t give us a break but then it gets easier. I just lost my brother before Christmas, he choose it. That was a rough one and for awhile I wasn’t sure how to get over it but I’m here and have to keep on going so I am continuing on. Peace and blessings to you, too and I can’t wait to read your posts!
    Best,
    Candice~Marie

  2. I would like to say I love your blog and the wonderful and beautiful things you share as well as the inspiration and smiles you bring in doing so! Thank you for being you and I hope even if you do not accept awards you will accept the sentiment expressed as I honor you with one. There is no prize that comes with the award other than my appreciation and being grateful you are part of our world and making a difference by sharing in such a positive way…
I have posted the award and link to it here I hope you will accept it or at least the sentiment behind it! http://artisticlyxpressedthoughts.wordpress.com/2014/03/27/awards-and-shared-gifts/

    With love,

  9. Hello fellow crazy chick!
I thought I’d make a link list to all of our blogs and write a short summary about what each one is writing on a page in my blog. And I’d like to use your disclaimer to sum up what your blog is about. Is that okay?

  13. Reading between the lines, you are blessed. Life is filled with trials, but when we can still laugh and smile as we are traversing them–or after we’ve dragged our weary selves through them–we’re blessed. It might not be pretty, but victory is victory. I’m hoping you experience the same victories as you battle your way to a slimmer, healthier you! (And feel free to whine about the “food” and it’s, um, lack of culinary creativity, shall we say. I promise to laugh with you!)

    • You read between the lines well, Beth. I feel very blessed. I have had quite a few trials, but on the whole my life has been enriched and strengthen from them. I am not sure that I would ever wish them on anyone, but I know there has been enormous victory that emerged from each trial. That is what I am looking for here, in this moment, with this trial. Thanks for laughing with me — that is how I have gotten through all the trials in my life. Nice to have a Partner in this journey. Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to our journeys.
